Children's Arts Festival
& Junior High Art Show

The Children's Arts Festival provides a wonderful opportunity for parents and children to enjoy a day discovering the arts together. Hands-on arts activities and free performances from student and professional artists on various stages at Ehlers Recreation Center provides a delightful celebration of the rich cultural traditions that thrive in our own backyards!

This year, the City of Buena Park’s Cultural and Fine Arts Division hosted the Second Annual Junior High Art Show. This event gave junior high school students (7-8) recognition for their artistic abilities by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their work to the community.  This year’s theme was “Go Green! Celebrating 40 Years of Earth Day”. Junior high students were invited to submit artwork that encourages recycling, conservation and celebrates earth friendliness!

Ribbons and prizes were presented to the winners in each grade level at the Festival Main Stage. All participants were invited to attend and join in the Festival activities before the presentation.

9th Annual High School Art Show
February 2-26th, 2010

The objective of the High School art show was to give local high school students recognition for their artistic ability and provide them with an opportunity to see his or her work on public display, to be viewed by friends, family, civic leaders and the general public.

Ribbons and prizes were presented to the winners in each medium category at a special awards ceremony held on Friday, February 26th at 6pm. The award ceremony took place at Buena Park City Hall Council Chambers. All participants, their family, friends, teachers, school and district officials were invited to attend.

34th Annual Elementary Art Show
January 5-29th, 2010

Thank you to all the students that participated in the 34th Annual Elementary Art Show. The theme was “Dream Destination: Where Do I Want to Go?” Students grades K-6 were invited to submit artwork relating to this theme. Having received 144 submissions, this year's show was our best show ever!
