Join us as the Buena Park Fine Arts Department embarks on a Cultural excursion. Transportation
is provided and included in the price of all excursions. All times listed are based upon departure
and arrival times to and from Walter D. Ehlers Community Recreation Center. You can sign up for
one or all of these excursions at the Community Recreation Center's office located at 8150 Knott Ave

Saturday, September 20, 2008 ~ Danish Days Celebration, Solvang, California
Time: 8am-8pm $30.00

From strolling a European-styled village to old-west turn-of-the-century towns along 
majestic oak-lined undulating roads, the beauty and bounty of Solvang await discovery 
and enjoyment. At the Danish Day Celebration, you will enjoy music, dancing, 
traditional foods, folk art, demonstrations, singing, aebleskive eating contests, akvavit 
tasting, and much more.

 
Saturday, October 4, 2008 ~ Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles
Time: 3pm-10pm $20.00

Griffith Observatory is an icon of Los Angeles, a national leader in public astronomy, 
a beloved civic gathering place, and one of southern California's most popular attractions. 
The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, just 
above the Los Feliz neighborhood. It is 1,134 feet above sea level and is visible from many 
parts of the Los Angeles basin. Come visit and join us in exploring the stars!

Thursday, January 1, 2009 ~ Tournament of Roses Parade
Time: 6:30am-Approx. 2pm $73.00

Enjoy the beauty and pageantry of the world famous Rose Parade! Excursion bus leaves
the Ehlers Recreation Center at 6:30am. Cost includes bus transportation, coach
accomodations and grandstand seating. First come, first served registration for this
excursion begins NOVEMBER 3RD, 2008.
