Every year, the Cultural and Fine Arts Department is proud to present their Summer Concert Series at Boisseranc Park. These six free outdoor concerts are held from June 25th to July 30th, every Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. In addition to our featured weekly musical performances, there is food and fun for the entire family!

Boiserranc Park is located at 7520 Dale Street in Buena Park.

marine band san diego

For over eighty-five years, Marine Band San Diego has thrilled countless thousands throughout the country with its inspiring renditions of patriotic music, classical literature, Big Band and Top 40 favorites, and, of course, the marches of John Philip Sousa.



June 25th

The Wiseguys big band machine

From Swing to Swank, The Wiseguys Big Band Machine is an eighteen-piece ensemble dedicated to keeping great music alive. This Montebello, California-based big band features a screamin' horn line, talented vocalists, exciting soloists, and a roarin' rhythm section. Their repertoire includes the swingin' vocal tunes of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Peggy Lee, big band favorites from Glenn Miller, Pérez Prado and Buddy Rich; and The Wiseguys keep audiences on their feet and dancing with classic mambos and cumbias, and great dance music from the 50's and 60's.

This dynamic group will bring the house to its feet with their electrifying live sound and stadium-caliber performance! They cover a wide range of groups such as The Rolling Stones, Heart, Aero-smith, Pat Benatar, Steppenwolf, Nirvana, Paul McCartney & Wings,Cheap Trick, Jimmi Hendrix, Foghat, The Doobie Bros., Three Dog Night,The Go-Go's, Prince, Bon Jovi & Van Halen, just to name a few!

July 23rd

Thornbird

With a tip of the hat to artists like Matchbox 20, U2, and Sheryl Crow, along with "just enough" Beatle-esque production, Thornbird creates a seductive blend of guitar-driven rock and pop-both electric and acoustic-that has proven itself instantly likeable and radio ready.

 

July 16th

Nailah‘s voice resonates with the spirit of her influences, Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson, and the Elders Choir at St. John CME Church. Whether giving thanks to Civil Rights Activist Fannie Lou Hamer and her Uncle CooJack for their struggle, or striking blows against homelessness, racism, and poverty, Nailah‘s music presents a deep harmony that hovers in the air long after the last note fades...beckoning everyone, including herself, to heal.

 

July 30th

mariachi divas

The Mariachi Divas is a unique, multi-cultural ensemble representing the true flavor of Los Angeles, and over the years has been represented by women of: Mexican, Cuban, Samoan, Argentinian, Columbian, Panamanian, Puerto Rican, Swiss, Japanese, Honduran, Peruvian, and Anglo decent. Cindy Shea, the group's founder, states, "Music is a way of uniting our cultural backgrounds."
