Share your love of the Buena Park community through song! The Buena Park Community Chorus is looking for new members to join their group in performing show tunes for the City of Buena Park and various community groups.

"There are no auditions and members do not have to read music," says the group's treasurer Marge Rollins. "Members just have to love music, performing, and attend three consecutive rehearsals before they join."

The Buena Park Community Chorus has been entertaining audiences with their musical talent in various venues throughout Orange County since 1968. Created to foster interest in choral singing and to improve personal and group musicianship, the 35 member group also provides choral music programs for the community wherever needed.

The Community Chorus presents four main performances anually including a summer concert in June, a free Christmas holiday concert in December, the "Music, Arts, and Just Desserts" concert in March, as well as hosting a multi-choral concert in November with other city choral groups. The group also performs on request at weddings, retirement homes, churches, hospitals, and other venues where music is appreciated.

The Chrous' talent has not gone unrecognized either. The group is the proud recipient of several awards including the Chorus Disneyland Award for volunteerism and the Buena Park Fine Arts Commission Elva Liesch Hughes Award.

The Chorus rehearses on Monday evenings, September through June, at 7pm until about 9:30pm in the Senior Center at the Ehlers Community Recreation Center located at 8150 Knott Avenue, Buena Park. Anyone 18 or over is welcome to attend a rehearsal and join. Chorus dues are $8.00 per month, for 10 months.

The Buena Park Community Chorus is sponsored by the City of Buena Park. For more information, please contact Marge Rollins at (714) 523-1635 or visit www.buenaparkchorus.com.
